**Your role and responsibilities**
An Onsite FMS Network Support Engineer is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing network infrastructure at a client location. The role involves ensuring seamless network operations, minimizing downtime, and providing immediate support to users and IT teams.
* Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime.
* Provide immediate support to users and IT teams for network-related issues.
* Optimize network performance and implement necessary upgrades.
* Collaborate with vendors and IT teams for seamless operations.
* Monitor and manage network security, firewalls, and other security appliances.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
* Experience with networking devices such as Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto or equivalent.
* Hands-on experience with firewalls, load balancers, and security appliances.
* Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ITIL frameworks.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Onsite at Client Location - Direct interaction with users, IT teams, and vendors.
* Rotational Shifts or Business Hours - Depending on SLA requirements.
* Growth Opportunities - Potential to move into Network Administrator, L3 Support, or Security Engineer roles
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
* Ability to work independently and under pressure.
* Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
* Good documentation and reporting abilities.
