Network Support Manager
**Description** **SAIC has an exciting future opportunity for a Lead Network Support Manager in Bremerton, WA** . This Naval program will provide IT operations, application management, maintenance, and customer support to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) & Naval Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF) including remote sites and detachments in order to meet mission requirements. _This work is contingent upon award news in the Fall of 2025 timeframe._ Work is performed on site in Bremerton, WA. **Job Summary** : The Lead Network Support Manager will oversee the installation, maintenance, design, and troubleshooting of network devices, fiber optic, and copper cables. The role also includes ensuring compliance with Department of Defense and Department of the Navy security policies and managing network device configurations. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in network engineering, system administration, and the ability to handle complex projects across multiple sites. **Duties and Responsibilities:** • Oversee the installation, maintenance, design, troubleshooting, and removal of fiber optic and copper cables for network devices. • Manage network devices such as routers, switches, VPN concentrators, TACLANE encryption devices, and their configurations. • Ensure compliance with DoD and DoN security configuration policies and accreditation requirements. • Design, engineer, install, operate, maintain, and configure network device infrastructure systems. • Conduct site surveys, install, test, evaluate, and certify all Outside/Inside Plant (OSP/ISP) to industry standards. • Maintain datacenter cable plant, routing/management, and infrastructure. • Manage server account access, system resources, performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability. • Implement and document security procedures and tools, resolve hardware/software interface problems, and maintain system configuration documentation. • Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, system administrators, and cable plant technicians. • Coordinate with local facilities personnel and network engineers for infrastructure upgrades and repairs. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and successfully deliver projects and IT systems into test and production environments. • Develop strategies for IT system and data center modernization and deliver architecture and technology recommendations. **Qualifications** **Job Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. + Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in network support, systems administration, and network engineering. + Proven experience in managing large-scale network and IT infrastructure projects. + Strong knowledge of DoD and DoN security policies and accreditation requirements. + Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. **Required Clearance:** + Must be a US Citizen. + Secret clearance must be obtainable, Active Secret preferred. **Preferred Skills:** + Certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, or similar. + Experience with VMware, Cisco Call Manager, Citrix, Microsoft Exchange, SCCM, SCOM, SolarWinds, Splunk, and Tenable Security Center. + Proficiency in Unix and Windows system administration. + Familiarity with Oracle database administration and data center management. **Working Conditions:** + Primarily on-site at Bremerton, WA with remote support responsibilities at other Navy sites in the US and Japan. + Potential on-call responsibilities to address critical network and system issues. Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
