**Minimum Qualifications:**
Associate's degree or equivalent in related field and two years related experience.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Experience with various small-sized to medium-sized area networks (i.e., LAN's, WAN's).
**Job Summary:**
To provide hardware/software support and the technical skills required to administer, design, modify and maintain a network configuration at the department/school level.
**Job Duties:**
+ Analyzes, designs, and administers or assists in the performance of network connections/ configurations at the school/department level.
+ Manages the performance of four to five software packages from fairly simple to complex levels of sophistication.
+ Provides training and support of these packages to staff, faculty and management.
+ Provides programming skills of basic to moderate complexity, utilizing established languages.
+ Consults with vendors, faculty, staff, and management concerning projected enhancements to hardware/software and networking capabilities.
+ Oversees or assists in the physical set-up of communication connections.
+ Performs basic to moderately complex problem determination of reports and resolution, identifying problems at the school/department level.
+ Assists management/supervisor with the development of reports and procedures to optimize the benefits of network capabilities.
+ Provides staff, faculty and management with training and assistance in the utilization of various software products (i.e., spreadsheets, data bases, word processing, and statistical packages.)
+ Adheres to internal controls established for department.
+ Performs related duties as required.
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
Programming of Cisco network equipment.
**Salary Range:**
Actual salary commensurate with experience.
**Work Schedule:**
On-site, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and as needed on occasion.
