Education Recommendations

Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Science, or related fields with an accredited school in the US.

You  have:

Excellent programming skills for prototyping Prior research experience with network systems and/or ML theory Strong written and spoken communication/presentation skills

 

It would be nice if you also had:

A strong publication record Ability to identify upcoming research trends and directions with a focus on maximizing impact

The Network System Research Intern program at Bell Labs covers technologies relating to 6G network systems, cloud-native systems, and end-to-end network orchestration and automation.

 As part of our team, you will work on research topics covering:

Design of RAN and core systems for 6G Next-generation Open RAN (O-RAN) systems Symbiotic Network-Application co-optimization End-to-end network slice management Multi-access Open RAN including Wireless LANs Non-terrestrial networks (NTNs) for cellular access Practical applied AI/ML for network automation Intelligent lifecycle management of cloud-native cellular systems
