Office hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday, with required on-call time. Valid driver’s license. This position requires travel up to 25%. Experience: + 6 years of experience in computer systems analysis, Cybersecurity or network infrastructure systems and services. + Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field coupled with at least two years of relevant experience in computer systems analysis, Cybersecurity, or network infrastructure systems and services. Duties and Responsibilities: + Configure and implement secure, scalable network solutions within Azure and hybrid environments, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and security standards. + Design and manage network configurations, including virtual networks, subnets, VPNs, and network security groups (NSGs), to optimize performance and security. + Implement and maintain firewall configurations and access policies in Azure and on-premises environments, ensuring seamless integration. + Support the migration to cloud-based networking solutions, ensuring alignment with security frameworks such as NIST and CJIS. + Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of network security measures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. + Monitor network performance using tools like Azure Network Watcher and Meraki, diagnosing and resolving connectivity and performance issues. + Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, operational procedures, and compliance activities. + Work closely with security operations teams to identify, mitigate, and report potential threats or vulnerabilities within the network. + Coordinate with vendors to manage hardware lifecycles, ensuring timely patching, upgrades, and decommissioning. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess networking needs and define requirements for new systems or enhancements. + Provide training for IT staff and end-users on secure networking practices, emphasizing compliance with agency policies and frameworks. + Stay informed about advancements in networking technologies, Azure capabilities, and security practices, sharing knowledge to enhance team effectiveness. + Ensure all networking systems comply with CJIS and NIST standards, with special attention to handling sensitive criminal justice information. + Prepare and submit reports related to network performance, security incidents, and project milestones as required. + Maintain an inventory of network devices and software, tracking asset status and compliance. + Comprehensive understanding of networking concepts, including routing, switching, VLANs, and firewalls in both cloud and on-premises environments. + Proficiency with Azure networking tools, such as Azure Virtual Network, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall. + Familiarity with security tools like Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and Meraki, focusing on network monitoring and threat mitigation. + Experience in implementing and managing compliance requirements for frameworks such as NIST and CJIS. + Proficiency in scripting and automation tools, including PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python, to streamline network operations. + Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to resolve complex connectivity and security issues. + Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Commitment to continuous learning, ensuring familiarity with emerging trends in cloud networking and security. + Lead network-related projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with organizational goals. + Actively contributes to the development of policies and procedures to enhance the agency’s network security posture. + Fulfill assigned on-call duties during off-duty periods. + Collaborate with the Finance and Budget Office to reconcile networking services billing. + Prepare administrative and purchasing reports about networking services as required. + Perform other duties as assigned by the Office of Information Technology.
