When you join Arista as part of the Sales Engineering team, you're not just stepping into a role; you're becoming part of a team of industry experts and technical leaders. Typically reporting to the Regional Engineering Manager, you'll be working alongside some of the most skilled field engineers in the industry. Our team prides itself on not just understanding the technology but also the business impact and aligning our solutions with the larger goals of our clients. In collaboration with our Product Management and Software Development teams, you will play a pivotal role in steering product developments, offerings, and strategic direction to best serve our customers and prospects. Supported by the expertise of our world class Arista TAC, cutting-edge proof-of-concept resources, and support of the executive team, you are well-positioned to lead and innovate within the industry.
What You’ll Do
As a critical member of the Arista Sales Engineering team, you will act as a trusted advisor to our customers, gathering requirements and identifying opportunities with existing and new customers.
QualificationsNetwork Industry Certification preferred, such as ACE-L4, ACE-L6, ACE-L7, and others.Minimum of 5 years of experience in L2/L3 networking design and implementation with a focus on Data Center, Campus, and Wi-Fi solutions.Minimum of 5 years either working in or selling to the Life Sciences vertical, inclusive of Biotech, Pharma, Medical Devices, R&D, Healthcare IT, and CROsExpert-level experience with routing and switching, including L2/L3 protocols, as well as overlay technologies such as VxLAN.Current hands-on experience in designing highly scalable leaf-spine network architectures.Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales SE, or Network Consulting Engineer is preferred.Expert knowledge in Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, eBGP, VxLAN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, and QoS.Good understanding of the competitor technology landscape, specifically Cisco and Juniper.Expert-level knowledge of the industry-standard Command Line Interface (CLI).Previous experience building network automation using Python and Ansible is highly desired.Strong writing skills and ability to create informative white papers on technology and products is highly desired.Additional Information
