Network Team Lead

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

As the Network Team Lead, you will be a key participant in the implementation of all new Enterprise IT network systems and technologies, ensuring these implementations are completed, documented, tested and integrated into enterprise services.  This position will stay abreast of organizational business changes, projected modernizations and upgrades, and technology trends and future changes being performed by vendors in order to recommend the most current and effective technology improvements and evolutions to Enterprise IT systems.  As a Lead in the design, implementation, and operation of Enterprise IT core infrastructure technologies and equipment, you will be responsible for providing oversight of operations, maintenance and continuous improvement of Enterprise IT network services on a fast-paced U.S. government contract, with a focus on providing a high-quality customer and end user experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

Drive process improvement, deliver efficiency, and provide specifications of existing Enterprise IT network architecture to which solutions are defined, managed and deliveredLead the planning, securing, and forecasting of Enterprise IT network initiativesLead the efforts required to solve for, architect, implement and operate new IT solutions and technologies into the enterpriseDefine and create IT system architectures that promote reliability and ease of maintenanceLead integration and interoperability across multiple applications and platformsDesign and implement monitoring and reporting that exposes quality metrics necessary to measure the performance and effectiveness of Enterprise IT services, and to support decisions for continuous improvementProvide real-time assistance to troubleshooting efforts on-demand as requiredAct as a Liaison with internal and external technical resources to define optimum solutions to quality challengesMaintain and update skillset as it relates to coming trends in technologies and methods of delivering a future-focused Enterprise IT network environmentDevelop and maintain comprehensive technical artifacts pertaining to the design, standards, implementation, assessment, and analysis of Enterprise IT network servicesProvide training, webinars, whitepapers as necessary to customers and on demandCommunicate proactively and effectively with customers

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: N/AExperience: 10 yrs

Required Experience

A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as an Enterprise Architect specializing in network infrastructure services including a minimum of four (4) years of experience in cloud technologies such as but not limited to Azure and AWS.  Google Cloud Platform (GCP) desired.A minimum of five (5) years of experience designing critical network infrastructure for a large / complex network.Experience with infrastructure and network automation platforms and coding.Experience designing and implementing enterprise solutions that increase the availability and security of the enterprise.Experience in developing technology roadmaps.Expert level understanding of network technologies. (SDN, SDWAN, routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, application load balancing, network visibility.)Expert level understanding of network practices, and protocols.Extensive experience with on premise physical infrastructure and Virtualization technologiesExpert knowledge of route optimization, dynamic routing, packet aggregation, IPV6, and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).Extensive experience with networking and security methods and tools.Experience performing network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems at a SME level.Expertise with major networking products from companies similar to Cisco, Juniper and VMWare delivered via major cloud providers.Experience with managing and using DevOps concepts.Certification: CCIE that has been obtained within, or continuously maintained within the last five years.Familiarity of NIST security guidelines, such as 800-53 and 800-63, and good understanding of security fundamentals, as well as authentication with OAuth, SAML etc.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to represent the team in briefings and in presentations

Experience with any DHS agencies or entitiesExperience using ServiceNow in a Tier 1 - 4 support roleExperience with working in an ITIL v3 or v4 framework to deliver enterprise servicesExperience with Agile/DevOps processes

Security clearance level: Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust Suitability and a DHS Entry on Duty (EOD)

The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
