THE JOB:

The Network Technician is responsible for installation & de-installation of cabling, cross connects and maintenance of network devices, and related infrastructure. This individual ensures that the network devices & infrastructure and related procedures adhere to organizational values. Work in person with customers who are experiencing connection issues with their network devices (Phones, Tablets, and PC's) and work with 2nd level support to resolve network related issues both Wi-Fi and cabled.

THE STARTING RATE:

$24.50/hour

THE DAY TO DAY:

Interact in person with customers who are experiencing issues connecting to the networkInstall, terminate, maintain, and troubleshoot network cabling infrastructure including Moves, Adds, and Changes of any network or related equipmentTroubleshoot network hardware problems and cable plant issues including Fiber Optic, UTP, STP, etc.Fluent in all test equipment and can train others on the use of them: Corning Fusion Splicer, Fluke OTDR, Fluke DTX1800, Fluke Simple fiber, Fluke Link Runner Pro, etc.Research and document cable plant infrastructureConfigure network hardware for Edge network equipment, Core network equipment, and Serial-to-IP devicesInstall network hardware and cable assemblies, both copper and fiberManage Contractor access into areas as required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent2 years of prior networking infrastructure experienceWork varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
