Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to develop and support computer networks. The network administrator intern is responsible for network hardware, wired and wireless networks, networking routing, switching, and network security. All of these tasks help to support and maintain Post Consumer Brand’s network systems. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES / DUTIES The network administrator intern may assist in a number of project and/or operations support roles in the IT department. Assignments may include work such as: Deploying and configuring network switches and wireless access points Assisting in the installation and configuration of network hardware and software Monitoring network performance to identify issues and ensure optimal speed and availability Helping diagnose and troubleshooting network issues and system faults Assisting with network maintenance and system upgrades, including patches and hotfixes Developing and maintaining documentation of the network’s layout and operations Providing technical support to staff, including setting up user accounts and permissions Supporting manufacturing plant floor networks, security, and isolation Supporting advanced firewalls and software defined networks Specific project and operational roles will be identified 30-60 days prior to the start of the internship, based on business need and intern interests. Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS Candidates must be pursuing a four-year undergraduate or degree or at an institution with an accredited program in computer science, IT Infrastructure, or IT Networking and graduating December 2025 or May 2026.
