NEURODIAGNOSTIC TECHNICIAN B-PRN

Summary

Position Summary:   Under moderate supervision, prepares patient for and conducts various neurodiagnostic procedures such as Electroencephalograms, Evoked Potentials, and Transcranial Doppler exams. Collects patient information pertinent to the interpretation of the tests and determines proper procedures for testing.   Standard EEGs:  Performs standard EEGs such as wake and sleep, bedside, isolation, pediatric, neonatal, eletrocerebral inactivity evaluations, etc., according to departmental procedures.   Qualifications/Requirements:   Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field  Experience: Less than one year  Education Discipline: Associate's degree in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology or equivalent.   American Heart Association CPR Certification Heart saver plus or Community CPR course Eligible for certification by ABRET
