Responsibilities
The CNP Technologist II works in the neurodiagnostic laboratories performing electroencephalography (EEG), and long-term monitoring (LTM).
The technologist is responsible for complete and accurate patient preparation, data acquisition, providing a safe testing environment and must demonstrate competent skills and knowledge in one or more of the area of hire. If applicable must also be able to work within the EEG/EMU on call schedule including but not limited to after hours, nights and weekends on a rotational basis.

EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent, or Associates degree or higher, or an accredited school of END Technology. Must have working knowledge of anatomy and physiology.EXPERIENCE:
Two or more years in Electro Neuro Diagnostic procedure testing (this includes clinical experience while attending formal END education).CERTIFICATIONS:
BLS certification Within two years of employment, specific certification through ABRET - Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (CLTM); is required in the laboratory of hire. The Registry Examination should be attempted as soon as the employee is eligible.
Good human relation and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and explain tests and provide a relaxing environment.
Must be able to stand over 50% of the time, bending and kneeling routinely. Must be able to work with the arms above shoulder level. Must be able to lift more than 25 pounds. Must exercise proper caution to avoid potential exposure to: - Chemical Vapors - Heavy Metals - Ionizing Radiation - Laser - Microwaves - Infection Hazard - Skin contact with Chemicals etc. Must work with Immunosuppressed Patients.

Compensation range is $30.12 - $45.19 / hour. Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
