What You'll Do As a New Business Case Coordinator in Specialty Benefits, you'll work in tandem with our sales offices to amend current policies as well as install Group business such as life, disability, vision and dental products. Here are a few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do: Complete plan changes and add coverage to current policies in force. Facilitate the processing of new cases from initial receipt to final implementation for our distribution partners. Manage information going back and forth between the sales office and the team to ensure all necessary documentation has been received so that the new case is installed accurately and timely. Must develop a broad understanding of insurance operations, products and concepts. Strong computer skills, competence, and proficiency at keyboarding. Knowledge/experience manipulating Excel files. Quick judgment, excellent organizational skills, and accurate and precise written and verbal communication. Strong relationship building with internal and external customers and be able to respond to a difficult situation that requires tact and diplomacy. Good decision-making when working on complex casework and making exceptions during new business processing. Ability to prioritize work, maintaining service standards in the face of peak times and heavy workloads, and frequent interruptions. Able to multi-task in a fast-paced changing environment with high accuracy and within established turnaround times. Must be an effective teammate and a positive influence within the organization. Must develop solid product knowledge across all lines. Must work professionally and diplomatically with very demanding and diverse distribution channels. Previous experience with the COMPASS and CAPture administration systems is a plus, but not required. Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $17.74 - $31.73 / hour Time Off Program Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Pension Eligible Yes Additional Information Work Environments This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
