Job SummaryAdd profitable natural gas connections in the existing home market through the execution of the Inside Sales Group fulfillment Process across both residential conversion and new construction scattered site services. For an assigned territory, additionally coordinate all aspects of elevated pressure requests, residential and commercial inbound added load inquiries, ROW acquisition, and other duties related to the expeditious resolution of escalated customer inquiries. Increase profitability in the residential markets by reducing cost to serve and coordinating sub-contractor/UGI crews (resources) to complete natural gas connections. Design and coordinate the resources required for installation of natural gas facilities to serve existing homes under the supervision of Sales Management. Provide a reliable schedule that will improve customer satisfaction and the efficient allocation of resources. Develop ability to communicate effectively with customers and governing agencies involved with permitting or code enforcement. Ensure timely installation of all growth service facilities by guiding all aspects of the process upon Sales obtaining customer agreements. Possess basic working knowledge of natural gas fulfillment requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities Design and provide service estimates including meters and regulators to UGI system specifications and coordinate necessary permitting required for all new business service facilities. On a limited basis, respond to potential residential customer inquiries showing interest in using or converting to natural gas and as required pro-actively field/office canvassing of potential new residential customers. Work closely with the Inside Sales Group and area Sales Representatives to manage all aspects of the fulfillment process upon signing of a customer agreement. Assist with project managing residential and small commercial services, added meter/load requests for both residential and commercial, as well as elevated pressure requests. Maintain high levels of Customer Satisfaction. Interact with the Inside Sales Group, Area Sales, and Operations to ensure successful installation of residential conversion services which will require workload assessment of crews necessary to meet service demand and field requests from the office and Sales personnel. Ensure timely installations. Seek to increase profitability in the residential conversion market by reducing cost to serve through effective management of crews, and by collaboration with area Operations. Identify cost saving measures. Perform cost-benefit and needs analyses of existing/potential customers to strengthen customer service. Provide technical assistance. Communicate with customers, various state agencies, municipalities (permit issues), and contractors in regard to restoration requirements, coordination issues, scheduling questions, complaints, or quality of workmanship concerns. Also support "Ahead of Paving" and "Ahead of Construction" as well as inactive service customer contact initiatives. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Familiarity with construction cost savings measures, the annual pipeline contract, and SAP growth processes are a must. Outstanding organization and communication skills, to manage all aspects of service growth execution. Manage a large volume of varied service installations through the use of excellent time management. Ability to independently make technical decisions. Working knowledge of DOJM, FieldBook, and Mapframe are a plus. Education and ExperienceGES I
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field or minimum 3 years industry or sales related experience in lieu of education preferred. Energy sales or industry experienced desirable but not required.
