Position Overview:
HomeServe USA, a leading provider of home repair solutions, is seeking a passionate New Capabilities Engineer to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, incubating, and scaling new capabilities, with a particular focus on generative AI technologies.
As the New Capabilities Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of bringing new capabilities to life, from ideation to implementation and scaling. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization to identify potential opportunities for generative AI, assess their feasibility, and develop strategies for successful incubation and integration.
Responsibilities:
Identify cutting-edge generative AI technologies with the potential to transform HomeServe USA's business. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand the landscape of generative AI applications. Develop and present compelling business cases for the adoption of new generative AI capabilities. Lead pilot projects to test and validate the effectiveness of new generative AI solutions. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop and implement new generative AI features and functionalities. Monitor and measure the impact of new generative AI capabilities on key business metrics. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in generative AI and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Lead the piloting of proof-of-concept (POC) implementations of the identified use cases.

Collaborate with system architects and developers to transform the POC into a production-ready application. Utilize Cloud Services, including Cloud Functions and APIs, to facilitate scalable and efficient deployment.

Craft and continuously refine advanced prompts to enhance the efficacy and relevance of generative AI outputs, leveraging iterative feedback and analytics to optimize performance.

Write high-quality code in programming languages such as Python, Node.js, or Java to support the creation, testing, and optimization of generative AI applications.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in innovation management, emerging technology incubation, or a related field. Proven track record of identifying and evaluating new technologies. Strong understanding of business strategy and the ability to translate technology trends into actionable insights. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in generative AI concepts and applications (a plus). Passion for innovation and a strong desire to make a positive impact on the business.

Salary Range: $119,864.60 - $159,819.28
Annual Bonus Potential: 10%
