We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated New Crane Sales Director to lead our team of New Crane Specialists. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the sales and promotion of new crane equipment, managing a team of dedicated sales professionals, and driving growth in the crane division. This position requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of the heavy equipment industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a track record of achieving sales targets.
New Crane Sales Director Role & Responsibilities
+ Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of New Crane Specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
+ Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth in the crane division, identifying new market opportunities, and maximizing the sales potential of new crane products.
+ Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers, including contractors, construction firms, and other relevant industries.
+ Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and professional development for the sales team, ensuring they are knowledgeable about product offerings, industry trends, and sales techniques.
+ Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Monitor and report on sales performance, identify trends, and recommend actions to improve results. Prepare regular sales reports and projections for upper management.
+ Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., marketing, service branches, project management) to ensure seamless communication and alignment on sales objectives.
+ Market Intelligence: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
+ Product Knowledge: Maintain expert-level knowledge of the crane equipment portfolio and provide technical support to the sales team and customers as needed.
New Crane Sales Director Requirements
+ Proven experience as a Sales Manager, Sales Leader, or similar role in the heavy equipment industry, preferably within the overhead crane industry.
+ Strong leadership skills with experience in managing, coaching, and motivating a sales team.
+ Excellent understanding of the crane equipment market, customer needs, and industry trends.
+ Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess sales performance and make data-driven decisions.
+ Ability to travel up to 70% of the time to meet customers, work with sales team, and attend industry events.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience working in a similar industry (heavy machinery, construction, or industrial equipment).
+ Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
