THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE The New Event Initiatives Manager leads as project manager for all new event initiatives within Ulta Beauty's in-store event program. Responsible for day-to-day events operations and communications, this role supports the events team to drive positive performance in retail sales, in-store events, including services events, average ticket (AT), units per transaction (UPT), conversion, and brand partner relationships. The New Event Initiatives Manager is tasked with brainstorming, testing, and implementing new event types, then creating a go-forward strategy for successful events. Leveraging analytics, this role informs strategic decisions, plans future events based on trends, and partners with buyers and merchandising, planning, and inventory (MP&I) teams. YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY: As the New Event Initiatives Manager, you champion Ulta Beauty’s mission, vision, and values by demonstrating them skillfully and consistently through the following (as well as all other projects/duties as assigned): Performance: Partner with the events team to brainstorm, test, and implement new event types aimed at driving positive performance in various metrics. Manage communication processes related to all store event strategies and new event initiatives to drive awareness and overall positive performance. Support event sales to budget through implementing initiatives that drive event performance metrics, including conversion, loyalty, AT, and UPT. Manage ROI performance on all new event initiatives to achieve goals and KPIs and use KPIs to make future initiatives plans and decisions. Plan and oversee the execution of all new and existing event projects, including Cue the New, skin bar takeovers, and all store event programs, while leveraging collaborative partnerships. People: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchants, marketing, and brand partners, to support and lead project management for new event initiatives. Act as a subject matter expert on event processes and brand partner relationships. Assess performance and support leadership development in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Special Events and New Event Initiatives, fostering a culture of growth and accountability. Support the event team in partnership with the field to successfully execute new event initiatives. Leads cross-functionally to create communication processes for new and existing event initiatives. Process Support stores, field leaders, merchants, business partners, and brand partners on strategies and development for all in-store events, sales initiatives, and store sales and service activations. Manage the collection of information, creation of supporting documents, and communication of operational details for event programs. Lead and project manage a monthly all-store event strategy and new event initiatives meeting. Manage the stock lift process with cross-functional inventory teams for all in-store events. Assist in managing details of new event strategies and existing event programs, including communication processes for implementation within stores. Write, update and maintain all event documents as needed for Ulta Beauty stores, corporate, and brand partners. THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS Bachelor’s degree in marketing, PR or related field or relevant professional experience. 10+ years of events, brand partner, or operations experience, ideally in the beauty retail environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Previous work or educational experience with retail or brand partner helpful. Ability to work collaboratively with all key stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to perform in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment. Proven organizational skills with the analytical ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and prioritize effectively. Developed and polished presentation skills. Ability to deliver business information as given by Ulta Beauty. Willingness and ability to attend all Ulta Beauty events and workshops as needed. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven organizational skills with analytical ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and prioritize effectively. Energy, enthusiasm, and drive to manage a heavy workload continuously and proactively. Proven ability to perform in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. Ability to work a flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Previous experience in retail or brand partnership. Experience leading and influencing a team of direct and indirect reports. Experience developing and executing strategic objectives aligned with corporate priorities. Home office required. #LI-Hybrid #LI-JR The pay range for this position is $86,500.00 - $116,900.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
