Powell is dedicated to the future growth and talent of our company.  We offer internship opportunities to college students through a 10-week internship program. Our interns receive hands on experience, training and the opportunity to work on a project in their specific area of study. 

The Research and Development Engineering internship will be focused on creation and optimization of indicator design for use with high-speed mechanisms. Ideal applicants will be pursuing a degree in Mechanical/Power Engineering.

Project Details:

Understand the criteria for a repeatable design Design three concepts and procure parts for builds Build, test and troubleshoot each design Analyze and assess feasibility of each design

 

Job Requirements:

A successful intern at Powell will have the following characteristics:

Currently pursuing a 4 year degree from an accredited institution Rising Junior or Senior level students continuing their studies in the fall semester Good academic standing; minimum 3.0 GPA Team-player, self-starter, effective communicator, & dependable Possess multi-tasking abilities and strong inter-personal skills CAD experience a bonus FEA experience a bonus Additional Requirement
