New Product Introduction Manufacturing Engineer
**New Product Introduction (NPI) Manufacturing Engineer** **Salary:** $80,000 to $95,000 DOE **Location:** San Antonio, TX Due to ITAR requirements sponsorship for this position is not available **Overview:** The NPI Manufacturing Engineer Lead will coordinate the introduction of new products to the production team. In this position you will lead the bidding, quoting, pricing processes and then implement the awarded business into production, test and inspection. You will serve as liaison to supply chain and quality functions. You will be the POC to the customer for updates on delivery and issues. **Responsibilities:** • Analyze potential impact of new products, features and/or process to be introduced in the manufacturing operations. • Leads implementation of processes, equipment, tooling and required infrastructure and facility up-fit. • Lead multidisciplinary teams, become actively involved, as required, to meet deadlines and resolve issues. • Keeps records and presents reports regarding new product introductions. • Responsible to communicate project status to upper management and executive teams during periodic reviews, as well as execute escalation process as required • Provides direction to junior employees and makes decisions, according to established policies, procedures, business plans and management guidance. • Monitor and present key metrics and KPIs for performance and process effectiveness. • Manage suppliers’ readiness, milestones and submits and follow up purchase requisitions per project needs • Define, manage, tracks, and reports project budgets regarding capital and expenses • Coordinates design reviews with vendors, designers and other stake holders as required • Work independently • Receives minimal guidance, little instruction on day-to-day work, and general instructions on new assignments. May instruct, coach or provide informal guidance to other professionals or colleagues with less experience. **Minimum Requirements:** • Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical Engineering preferred) • At least 5 years of experience in product manufacturing • Aerospace product experience **Desired Skills:** • Project management experience • New Product Introduction experience • Quoting, Bidding and pricing experience • Aerospace specifications and requirements • AS9100, ISO 9001 environments • Ability to communicate with flexibility and diplomacy when dealing with staff and coworkers. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Bilingual English – Spanish is a plus As part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
