As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Team Lead, you will be instrumental in advancing the Medium Tractor Products strategy, working collaboratively across the business to synchronize priorities, implement strategic initiatives, and achieve success through a global team. What You Will Do:
Oversee multiple complex New Product Introduction (NPI) programs across the Medium Tractor Products lineup.Gather voice of the customer and serve as a liaison between Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Product Support, and Go to Market Teams to recommend, develop, and execute product strategy.Collaborate with quality and product support teams to ensure NPI plans meet quality targets, utilizing the Defect Free Operating System (DFOS) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.Host weekly product Obeya sessions focused on PQVC (People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost).Prepare and present NPI materials as part of the NPI process, providing recommendations to senior leadership to drive informed decisions.Monitor and manage NPI budgets to achieve financial targetsWhat You Have (Basic Qualifications):
Degree requirement: Bachelor’s degreeProgram Management: Previous experience managing complex NPI programs, ensuring alignment across Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Product Support.Quality Management: Experience ensuring plans meet quality targets by collaborating with cross-functional teams and applying lean manufacturing principles to support product reliability.Effective Communication: Strong communication, interpersonal skills and executive presence with the ability to collaborate and partner across peers and leadershipProblem Solving: Demonstrated ability to navigate complex challenges, gather internal and external customer challenges, and implement strategic initiatives that enhance product and process efficiency.Top Candidates Will Have:
Experience in the following:Supply chain, purchasing, engineering, commercial, or product support roles.Former or current strategy positionDeveloping financial proposals based on Net Present Value (NPV) and Return on Investment (ROI).Experience with leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.Demonstrated proficiency in understanding business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.Ability to see the "big picture"; apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.Additional Info:
Caterpillar operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week of onsite, in office work. Subject to change based on business needs.15% domestic and international travel is expected.Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify.ISE assignments are not available.Visa sponsorship is not available.Summary Pay Range:
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
