Apple News+ offers hundreds of magazines and leading newspapers in one subscription. We are looking for an experienced editor to help take our news coverage to the next level. Applicants should have a strong sense of the news and sport landscape in the UK and US, a keen interest in journalism, awareness of the big running stories – and an eye for a snappy headline. You should also have a keen appreciation of what makes good features journalism: what readers want in a story, and what they would be prepared to pay for.DescriptionDescription- Curate news, features and sport coverage from Apple News publishers daily, with a focus on quality writing, in-depth reporting and accuracy. - Write sharp and engaging copy in the Apple News voice. Craft headlines that highlight the most engaging angle of a story. - Explain and provide context around complex news stories, often on tight deadlines. - Create high-profile packages around key news moments and major issues. - Work cross-functionally (product, engineering, business) to support News projects and goals.Minimum QualificationsMinimum QualificationsYou have strong editorial judgement and excellent headline writing skills.
