OzarksFirst, the Nexstar Media broadcasting station in Springfield, MO is hiring a full-time Photographer to join our Daybreak news team. The morning photog works with a reporter/MMJ and collaborates on the best way to produce a story. The photog will also operate a TVU backpack for daily live shots. Candidates must also be able to independently gather news content.

Responsibilities:

Ensures sound and picture quality of all video shotWorks alone or with a reporter to shoot and edit for broadcastDrives and operates satellite SUV and vanOperates TVU live devicesMaintains inventory of all assigned equipmentResponsible for maintaining all assigned equipmentEdit stories for newscastsOther duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements & Skills:

Ability to shoot and edit video in all kinds of settings and under extreme deadline pressureAbility to drive and operate satellite van and ENG Microwave VanOperate assigned photography equipmentKnowledge of how assigned photography gear works to perform minor repairs and troubleshoot in-field, if necessaryAbility to operate linear and non-linear videotape editingMust be able to type and contribute media content to our digital platformsAbility to handle telephones and other communication equipmentMust possess a valid state driver's license
