Fox TV StationsFOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. FOX 6 News is searching for a Producer, but not just any Producer. We want a Producer who is passionate about crafting compelling newscasts that resonate with a diverse audience. RESPONSIBILITIES:
In the fast-evolving world of news, it’s about more than just the story – it’s about how you tell it. You must do more than just write great copy – you’ll be bringing it to life with stunning visuals that captivate our viewers from the get-go. You must create and produce fast-paced newscasts that hit the mark every time for accuracy and urgency. You must showcase your razor-sharp news judgment to dominate breaking news. You must embody creativity and pay close attention to all those little details that make your show complete. You must harness every tool at your disposal to tell stories that matter and have a little fun with your audience. You’ll be surrounded by a team that’s as forward-thinking as you are and an audience eager for content that enlightens, engages and informs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
You must have a college degree (preferably in Journalism) with a minimum of two years producing experience working at a commercial television station. Must be able to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and multitask. Ideal candidate has familiarity with newsroom computer systems, graphics programs and editing skills a plus. This is a morning news position, but other shifts may be assigned as needed including weekends and holidays.
