Job Summary/Description: 

Passionate, creative, experienced producer needed to join Gray Television’s flagship hometown station. There is no shortage of news in this vibrant, growing southern city. We are looking for the right producer to help bring those stories to life on Atlanta News First!

Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Produce 30-60 minutes of local news daily; select stories, determine story order, write broadcast scripts, select video, create and/or order graphics and other showcasing elements to enhance viewer experience and understanding of content
- Create and execute a vision for the newscast that is anchored in the Atlanta News First brand pillars and audience research
- Collaborate with anchors, reporters, digital producers, editors, directors, management, etc. to choreograph all elements of the newscast from the big picture to minute details

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience producing and boothing live broadcast newscasts
- Excellent time management, communication, and broadcast writing skills
- Proven track record of working at a high level under tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must provide samples of recent work

Preferred:

- Experience line producing in a medium or large market
- Experience producing special projects, unscripted live events, digital/ streaming/ social media content
- Field producing experience
- Segment-producing experience
