The Newscast Director coordinates the efforts of all technical operators during newscasts and other live and recorded productions.

WIVB TV News 4 is searching for a Part Time Newscast Director. The ideal candidate will work well under pressure and stay cool when things become challenging.

Execute daily activities of broadcast operations unit, with a focus on Live News Production.Works with the news producers to deliver a clean newscast.Follow station policies and procedures in operating broadcast audio and video equipment: record and playout news programming, control audio, video, graphics and execute newscasts.Must be able to work effectively with others in a team environment, managing multiple tasks on strict deadlines.Knowledge of Grass Valley Ignite news automation system, ROSS Xpression graphics system, ENPS, and Vitec robotic cameras puts you ahead of the curve.$19.00 to $20.00

 Requirements & Skills:

Degree in Communications or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Must be able to interact well with video journalists, anchors, videographers, news managers, production, and engineering staff.Excellent communication and organization skills.Experience in television, film, or postproduction preferred but not required.Basic computer knowledge, Microsoft Windows 10, Office 365.Detail oriented.
