About the Opportunity 


Standards & Technology unit within Business Area Networks drives technology foresight for the complete business area portfolio, from antennas to cloud! We are close to 300 researchers present at four main sites in Kista, Lund, Paris, and Rosenheim. What makes us unique is that within our unit we have competences in all areas needed to both research and build state-of-the-art mobile networks, putting research results into practice. 
You will be part of Standards & Technology’s Digital Radio team researching, developing, and validating the latest state-of-the-art radio technologies ranging from lower physical layers through signal to the antenna. Concept development, design and validation is done in everything from our ground-breaking simulators and crude lab prototypes to end-to-end systems implemented in product-like prototypes. You will be working in one of the most experienced teams within this domain in the world.
We are now looking for a junior Digital Radio Developer to engage in development and integration of Digital Radio Hardware and Firmware for our 6G hardware prototypes. 

 

What You Will Do


•    Perform Digital Radio design activities. This will include a mix of FPGA implementation, embedded firmware, signal processing, algorithm development (including radio-enhancing algorithms with machine learning), high-speed digital interfaces, clocking and Printed Circuit Board design.
•    Participate in Radio Integration, ensuring your designs perform inside the full radio system.
•    Drive efficient communication and coordination with stakeholders and adjacent technical disciplines.
•    Drive Digital Radio technical leadership: Understand industry trends and customer benefits.

 

The Skills You Bring


•    MSc or PhD degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications or similar
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proven drive for results.
•    Skills and experience in digital hardware design, e.g. FPGA implementation, PCB design or similar
•    Understanding of radio technology
•    Fluent in English
