Position: NExT Summer Intern – Postproduction
Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)
*Pay Range: $12.00 USD hourly
POSITION SUMMARY:
Based in our Atlanta studio, the NExT Summer Intern – Postproduction will provide assistance and support to their assigned Production and Client Services teams, while gaining insight into core postproduction workflows, creative processes, and industry standards. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in postproduction and/or the entertainment industry.
MAIN DUTIES:
A day in the life of this position may include:Supporting the Client Services team with client and industry events, including full-range set-up and breakdown.Providing staffing and coverage for vault desk, reception, and front office as needed.Assisting the Production team across the areas of material tracking (incoming and outgoing), project/session preparation, and delivery.Supporting studio cleanliness by monitoring bays and common areas for tidiness and upkeep.Shadowing Production team members and gaining exposure to the postproduction workflow and creative processes in various departments.Assisting with daily administrative tasks and special projects as needed.In addition, interns will participate in a cohort-based curriculum where they will:Explore various career paths through interactive workshops and a guest speaker series.Engage in professional development to set career goals and build workplace skills.
WHAT YOU BRING:
As the ideal candidate, you will have demonstrable interests in postproduction finishing, color grading/correction, dailies, sound and/or technical support.
You will also have:Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others.Strong communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) with comfort interacting with employees at all levels of the organization.Attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to problem-solve and adapt to changes.
