POSITION SUMMARY

This position involves conducting financial analysis, market research, and competitive intelligence to support strategic decision-making and communication with investors and analysts. The Analyst will work closely with the Strategy and Investor Relations teams to develop and execute initiatives that enhance shareholder value and drive the company's long-term growth objectives.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Monitor daily news, research, and other developments on NFI’s competitors, customers, and industry.Conduct in-depth competitor research, including quantitative and qualitative information and data. Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the company's performance, including financial statement analysis, trend analysis, and benchmarking against industry peers.Conduct market research to identify industry trends, market dynamics, and growth opportunities.Gather competitive intelligence to understand competitors' strategies, market positioning, and financial performance.Support the deployment of NFI’s Playing to Win Strategy across the organization. Development of the company's strategic plan, including conducting analyses to assess market opportunities, competitive threats, and strategic alternatives.Assist in preparing strategic presentations and materials for senior management and the board of directors.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive long-term growth and profitability.Monitor regulatory developments, economic indicators, and other external factors impacting the company's business.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

Post-secondary education in the Business or Engineering field.The financial designation is an asset.2-4 years of experience in corporate finance, strategy consulting or other technical rolesStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis.Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
