Our mission is to showcase the technical benefits of NI’s hardware and software products to technical audiences, including customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders. We create impactful content such as white papers, presentations, videos, product demonstrations, and web resources to position our products effectively and drive demand for NI’s world-class technology.
The Opportunity:
The testing of electronics devices is one of the largest and most dynamic areas of test and measurement. Immense pressure by leading brands to get new, complex devices to market quickly is fueling significant investment in engineering tool chains that deliver productivity benefits to product designers, validation engineers and production engineers. NI has a well-established position here with industry standard TestStand software and with the recent introduction of InstrumentStudio software. In 2024 NI demonstrated an active roadmap in this application area by showing how new technologies, including AI, could provide a step-change in the way these engineers work.
This role will focus on growing NI’s electronics test software business. You will define and build world-class web, demand generation and channel enablement material that effectively communicates the value of our products and technology. A successful candidate will be able to empathize with the challenges faced by our customers, collaborate with R&D to become a SME in NI software technology, and build engaging product narratives to drive business success.
This role provides a healthy mix of product ownership: In some areas our value proposition is well established due to the 10s of thousands of global users – while in others an entrepreneurial attitude is required to launch new products in a rapidly growing market. Candidates should relish the challenge and freedom of setting their own strategy and taking ownership of messaging, content and delivery to meet clearly defined business goals – while working with the support of a large corporate organization.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate with product management, technical & partner marketing, and sales to develop product positioning and articulate key messaging. Collaborate with technical and corporate marketing as a product expert to support NI’s go-to-market campaigns and bring new products and features to market. Create white papers, presentations, videos, product demonstrations, and other web collateral to position and generate demand for NI’s products and technology. Manage new software releases and coordinate with cross-functional teams for successful rollouts. Develop strong understanding of the target buyer persona(s) for NI’s software products, including their needs, challenges, and decision drivers. Develop expertise in applications for which NI software address key customer challenges and develop compelling stories to articulate our unique value. Support pre-sales activities as an NI product expert. Support product centric sales training activities across direct and indirect channels. Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve product messaging and positioning. Monitor product and campaign performance metrics to assess marketing effectiveness. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or equivalent. 3+ years of engineering or software development experience; product marketing experience is a plus. Basic understanding of data acquisition and instrumentation including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and waveform generators, and their use-cases. Experience with LabVIEW, TestStand and NI hardware is a plus, but not required. A passion for modern software technologies with a proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, engaging way.
