Zion Lodge is in National Register of Historic Places designed in 1924 by Gilbert Stanley Underwood in the National Park Service rustic style. The Zion Lodge is a year-round operation with 76 hotels rooms, 6 suites and 40 cabins as well as a restaurant, outside grab and go café, bar, gift shop and auditorium space. In the year 2025 a coffee and wine bar will be opening.
Zion Lodge is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Zion National Park. Over the next few years, the resort will undergo upgrades to rejuvenate accommodations and dining for public enjoyment. Renewable energy projects and energy efficiency upgrades will also be completed as well as other Sustainability innovations. POWDR operates Zion Lodge under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.
Job Summary:
The Night Auditor at Zion Lodge plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk during the overnight shift. This position combines front desk responsibilities with accounting duties, including balancing daily transactions and providing excellent customer service to guests during their stay.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly and assist with check-ins and check-outs during the night shift.Address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.Provide information about lodge amenities, services, and local attractions.Perform nightly audits of financial transactions, including balancing cash drawers, credit card transactions, and room revenue.Generate daily financial reports and ensure accuracy in accounting records.Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts, providing solutions as necessary.Manage incoming reservations and maintain the hotel management system, ensuring accuracy and availability for the following day.Handle phone inquiries and assist guests with booking reservations.Complete nightly reports, including occupancy rates and revenue summaries, and submit them to management.Ensure that all front desk paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently.Maintain organized records and files related to guest accounts and financial transactions.Collaborate with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure room readiness and address any guest issues.Communicate any relevant information or incidents to the management team during shift changes.Other Duties as Assigned:

Due to the in-person nature of the hospitality business, housing will be provided on-site and commuting from the local vicinity is also acceptable.Due to the nature of our business, Zion Lodge is open every day. You must be prepared to work a schedule which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Able to work and thrive in Zion National Park.Ability to get along well with people, be honest, punctual and reliable.Ability to remain calm and friendly.Ability to physically be out to make rounds throughout the resort.Ability to adapt to changing work conditions.Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality or accounting is a plus.Previous experience in a front desk or accounting role is preferred.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues.Proficient in computer systems and software; experience with hotel management systems and accounting software is a plus.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during overnight shifts.ESQ and Play Forever Responsibilities and Requirements:
