3 - Third ShiftAre you the type of person who works to consistently follow processes and has good attention to detail? In this role you will set up and operate machining equipment to produce parts that meet precise specifications. We’re looking for independent thinkers with a pride for high quality work to shape raw materials into Yellow Iron.What You’ll Do
1. Set up and operate various machining equipment, including but not limited to: steel saws, buffers, threaders, various drilling machines, press brakes, plate cutters, machining centers, gas or fiber lasers, benders, and various types of computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment.
2. Read blueprints or process sheets for specification such as dimensions and tolerances, tooling instructions, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cuts and cutting tools.
3. Select proper equipment, including tooling fixtures and accessories to complete a task based on established procedures.
4. Calculate figures and apply basic mathematical functions including fractions and decimals to adjust machine settings to provide the best quality part with the greatest efficiency. Utilize measuring tools to verify product quality upon completion.
5. Load and unload raw material or completed product. May require the use of an overhead hoist.
6. Perform and document total preventative maintenance (TPM).
7. Support 5S/workplace organization goals of the department and offers suggestions and makes improvements that assist in achieving the department’s performance board metrics.

- Ability to produce high quality parts at a rate that meets production demands.
