Job Description
Operators are responsible for ensuring efficient and safe machine operation, producing high-quality products and finish product packaging, inspecting equipment, and performing preventative maintenance. They will complete paperwork and data entry, assist in the packaging area, and cross-train on other machine operation duties while keeping the production area clean and orderly. Regular communication with other operators, quality techs, and the area supervisor is essential to ensure the process runs smoothly.
ResponsibilitiesOperate state-of-the-art equipment that processes and packages beverages in both cans and bottles.Work with others to produce quality products that meet customer needs.Troubleshoot equipment and collaborate with others to eliminate inefficiencies in the manufacturing process.Change over and adjust equipment between production runs.Accurately create and consume inventory in an inventory management system.Operate a forklift or pallet jack to move pallets of raw material.Sanitize the plant and equipment.Assist with performing quality checks on the products.Keep the area clean and organized.Attend production meetings.Complete necessary paperwork.Troubleshoot and communicate issues that occur with the process or equipment.Utilize computer skills to work in the ERP system and other necessary programs.Assist in other parts of the facility as needed.Follow food safety/regulatory policies and procedures, execute responsibilities as identified in standard operating procedures, and report food safety/regulatory concerns to the Production or Quality Manager.Essential Skills2+ years of machine operating experience in a production environment.Ability to frequently lift up to 60lbs.Experience with machine operating, tool change, machine setup, troubleshooting.Basic computer skills and familiarity with programming.Experience in food production, general labor, mixing, production, food handling, batching, calipers, assembly, inspection, hand and power tools, forklift operation.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior food production experience preferred but not required.Experience with high-speed production and preventative maintenance.Why Work Here?
This is a direct hire position with a full benefits package and three weeks of vacation, pro-rated based on start date. There is significant advancement potential, with skill-based promotions that allow candidates to move up quickly as they learn new tasks and skills. The company also offers a $3/hr attendance incentive for maintaining perfect attendance per pay period.
Work Environment
The facility is a state-of-the-art building constructed in 2018, featuring brand new machines, forklifts, and conveyors. The work environment is well-lit, meticulously clean, and not dark or gloomy. The shift schedule is 2-2-3, from 6 pm to 6 am, with a base pay of $22.71/hr, a $3 night shift premium, and a $3 attendance incentive per pay period.
