NOC Technician
Description We are offering a long-term NOC Technician opportunity in Annapolis, MD. This will be a swing shift role - hours are from 3pm to 11:30pm. This role is crucial in our network operations center, where you will be tasked with managing incidents, diagnosing system and network failures, and providing effective solutions for our customers and business units. Responsibilities: • Ensure efficient processing and resolution of technical queries from customers and business units. • Monitor network management system and collaborate with telecom providers to expedite restoral efforts. • Maintain updated and accurate incident details in the management tool. • Oversee high availability IP networks, messaging systems, and Air to Ground data communications equipment and systems. • Work with senior team members to resolve moderate to complex issues, taking the lead role in less complex matters. • Develop tools to enhance deployment, configuration, and maintenance routines. • Participate in the design and configuration of network solutions. • Analyze issues and provide guidance to customers for problem resolution, demonstrating attention to detail. • Troubleshoot, resolve or escalate network issues to maintain system performance. • Train on all NOC 3 positions - Transport, DataLink, Applications - to ensure continuous monitoring and efficient operation. • Exhibit strong customer service and multitasking skills, including handling multiple responsibilities, prioritizing and delegating where necessary. Requirements • Must possess excellent Customer Service skills • Strong Communication abilities required • Prior experience in Training is necessary • Should have a good grasp of Design principles • Ability to Troubleshoot various tech issues • Knowledge of Networks and related technologies • Adherence to best Practices in tech-support • Capability to handle and resolve customer Queries efficiently • Proven ability to Resolve Issues in a timely manner • Proficiency in Configuration Management • Must be familiar with various Protocols • Ability to Prioritize tasks effectively • Experience in Deployments is a plus • Should be comfortable working with various Business Units • Familiarity with Computer Hardware • Experience with Routers and related technologies • Knowledge of Telecom sector is beneficial • Must be familiar with Firewall Technologies • Proficiency in Language Interpretation is a plus • Experience with Circuit Board technology • Understanding of IP Protocol • Knowledge of Cisco Technologies is required • Experience with Servicenow Application is a plus • Ability to resolve Network Issues efficiently • Experience with Remedy software is beneficial Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
