Shore Point Distributing Co is a family-owned beverage distributor located in Freehold N.J. that carries an extensive line of national, regional and local beers, as well as wine, spirits and non-alcohol beverages. Shore Point Distributing Co is one of the largest beverage wholesalers in the state servicing Warren, Hunterdon, Burlington, Mercer, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties.
Shore Point is currently seeking a full time Route Driver Sales Representative to join its Freehold, NJ location in our Non-Alcoholic beverage division.
Overview
The Route Driver Sales representative plays a pivotal role in executing sales strategies and programming to drive growth for the assigned sales area. Identifies emerging new opportunities for growth, deliver products, and proactively builds upon customer relationships on assigned sales route.
Represent, solicit, and present the full portfolio to all accounts.Operate a company owned vehicle along an established route to deliver products to customers.Selling products directly to customers during deliveries.Obtain accurate payment for delivery and/or proof of delivery. Seeking out new accounts and distribution opportunities.Maintaining call frequency to all accounts, ensuring maximum sales and distribution of assigned brands.Influence account decision maker to achieve sales volume and distribution targets within assigned territories.Execute the 1.5 rule to eliminate out of stocks and to generate and input the optimal order into the handheld device. Replenish truck based on the needs of the route for projected daily sales. Rotate stock and pack out all cases sold to avoid product expiration, and out of stocks.Accomplishing timely & productive execution of sales plans and programs, communicating pricing and promotions, coordinating use of product displays and shelf space management in accordance with supplier standards.Execute all Chain accounts sales mandates.Fully utilize all technology available to maximize time and to drive sales opportunities. Conduct weekly audits for the assigned account base to effectively communicate merchandising needs to management.Maintain a professional attitude and provide excellent customer service.Ensure that all paperwork is accurately recorded and maintained in a timely fashion.Mentor and train new Driver Sales and Relief Driver employees.Position may include additional responsibilities and duties assigned from management.Qualifications:
Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service by communicating comfortably and effectively with all customers. Strong organizational, written and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Moderate familiarization with field marketing and distribution sales a plus Must have or be able to obtain a DOT medical card within two weeks of employment. Must be able to work in all climates and environmental conditions. Experience driving vans, 6 Bays and small box trucks a plusClean Driving record required.Candidate is subject to a physical, Background Check, and pre-employment and random drug testing.Benefits:
