Non Destructive Technician
Description Level II Technicians/Inspectors will be working on different job sites ranging from refineries, pipelines, and structural construction sites to inspect and test different materials being used. They will use the following methods in testing the materials and parts, RT, MT, PT, UT. Each Technician shall be familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being utilized and exercise assigned responsibility for on the job training and guidance of assistants and Level I Technicians. Responsibilities Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators Organize and report test results Perform specialized inspections May instruct and supervise others Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management Skills radiography, ultrasonic, nondestructive testing, non destructive test, non destructive inspector, inspection Top Skills Details radiography,ultrasonic,nondestructive testing,non destructive test,non destructive inspector,inspection Additional Skills & Qualifications Requirements: Certified Level II RT (SNT-TC-1A) Bare Minimum 1 year of working experience within NDT to be considered. Experience with industry standards of NAS 410 and/or CP-189 Additional Level II RT, MT, PT, UTT, and CR certifications preferred. Technical background in NDT methods and procedures Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections Knowledge of NDT equipment Experience in report writing Educations: High School Diploma or equivalent with some college preferred Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00 • Medical, dental & vision• 401(k) Retirement Plan – Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available• Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents)• Health Spending Account (HSA)• Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in North Salt Lake,UT.
