Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a dedicated and experienced Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our team as the Associate Program Director for our Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Training Program located at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.
Job DutiesThis role combines clinical excellence with a passion for education, providing an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of cardiovascular care.
Clinical Duties:Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and electrocardiograms (EKGs).Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions.Provide lifestyle recommendations and prescribe medications to manage heart conditions.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.Educational Duties:Assist in the administration and leadership of the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Training Program.Mentor and supervise fellows, residents, and medical students.Develop and deliver educational content, including lectures, workshops, and seminars.Participate in curriculum development and program evaluation to ensure high-quality training.
Administrative Duties:Support the Program Director in maintaining accreditation standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.Participate in recruitment and selection of fellowship candidates.Engage in scholarly activities, including research and quality improvement projects.Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.Board certification in cardiovascular disease.Valid medical license to practice in Pennsylvania.Proven experience in non-invasive cardiology.Demonstrated interest and experience in medical education.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a fellowship training program.Academic achievements and contributions to research in cardiology.Benefits:
