Job Summary

Reporting to the Office Manager of Emerson Cardiovascular Associates, performs a wide variety of cardiology testing and report processing functions for both inpatients and outpatients.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

High school diploma
 

Experience

3 years of EKG Technician experience required. Must have experience in all Electrocardiographic tests (EKG, Holter Monitor, Exercise Stress, Nuclear Stress, Persantine, and Dobutamine stress tests, Pacemaker evaluation). Knowledge of standard stress testing equipment including treadmill and electrocardiograph monitoring equipment. Demonstrate an advanced knowledge base of normal and pathological cardiopulmonary physiology and exercise metabolism and normal EKG responses at rest and exercise.

Licensure and/or Certification

BLS healthcare provider required. Certified Cardiac Technician (must be completed within 6months of offer)

Capability to interact and provide customer service to patients. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. Computer skills required. Ability to maintain confidential information.
