Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based on student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/school need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department. This posting is for the Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2024/2025 semesters. Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises. Required Qualifications + Specific educational requirements vary by position, but a minimum of at least a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Mathematics Education or a closely related field and 18 graduate hours in mathematics is required. + Candidates whose degree is in a closely related field must meet SACS accreditation standards to teach in a mathematics department. Preferred Qualifications + A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or Mathematics Education is preferred. + Previous teaching experience is also preferred.
