Nordic Head of Casualty
Nordic Head of Casualty UW AIG Nordic is currently looking for a Nordic Head of Casualty Underwriting, with preferred location to be at our office in Stockholm. It’s an exciting role and where the successful candidate will be managing and supporting the full Nordic Casualty team in achieving its key business targets and strongly contribute to the EMEA Casualty team long term strategy. The role has dual reporting lines and will report into both our Head of Casualty EMEA and to our Nordic General Manager and be an important member of our Nordic leadership team. Business Management + Leadership of the Nordic UW Casualty team, the development of business strategies (within our EMEA General Insurance parameters) as well as the annual financial targets + Monitoring and managing multiple distribution channels, partnerships and brokers + Ensuring successful execution of product development, underwriting + Measuring and reporting on operational issues, opportunities and development plans against company objectives + Driving continuous operational improvement projects External Relationship Management + Representing AIG to major clients and brokers across Nordics + Expand and enhance the AIG Casualty brand + Managing internal and external stakeholder relationships across the 4-5 countries People Management + Lead and manage the Nordic casualty team (12 HCs) located across the Nordic countries + Communicating the AIG vision, mission, and overall General Insurance direction + Serve as a member of the Nordics Senior Leadership Team What we’re looking for: Leadership Skills: + A UW track record of financial and operational success in casualty having delivered profitable growth in the destined region + A “natural” with clients who can represent AIG effectively and support the introduction, establishment and growth of valuable client relationships across Nordic market + Experienced people leader; a relationship developer and team builder; a strong focus on talent and leadership development; someone who attracts and develops high-caliber talent and who builds diverse, high-performing teams. + Proven ability to manage a broad range of stakeholders. + Highly collaborative approach across functions and countries. + Ability to manage and influence in a matrix structure and across a wide geography Technical Skills and Expertise: + Significant Casualty industry experience, stature, and credibility in one or more product lines + Several years’ experience in people management + A leader who develops a bold vision and distinct strategies that result in competitive advantage + Very good communication & interpersonal skills - fluency in written and spoken English as well as a Nordic language Core Competencies: + Drive for profitable results + Strategic leadership + Collaborate and influence + Ability to execute in a matrix structure If you have any questions about the position or the recruitment process, please contact; - Fredrik Forsström, Nordic General Manager, +46 704 19 40 81, fredrik.forsstrom@aig.com.- Alexander Sjöberg, Nordic Head of HR - +46 (0)70 913 73 88, alexander.sjoberg@aig.com AIG Nordic An interesting position in a dynamic environment where you will be part of a brilliant Nordic & European organization.
