Nordy's and After-Hours Manager

The Student Union serves as the hub for campus life at Pitt, providing a vibrant, inclusive environment where students can relax, socialize, and participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities. The union manages key facilities, including the Nordy's and After-Hours spaces, which are dedicated to fostering student engagement through late-night programming, entertainment, and snack options. These spaces are vital to creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for students after traditional campus hours, offering everything from casual study areas to live events.

We work closely with student organizations, campus departments, and external partners to create programs and services that meet the diverse needs of our student body. Preferred Qualifications:

Education: While there is no strict educational requirement for this position, candidates with coursework or a degree in hospitality, event management, or business administration are preferred.Experience: Candidates with experience in student leadership, customer service, facility management, or event coordination are highly encouraged to apply. Prior experience working in a college or university setting, particularly in a student union or similar environment, will be advantageous.

Successful candidates will possess strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment for all students. Familiarity with event planning, budgeting, and conflict resolution is also highly desirable.

Coordinates enrichment programs for students. Advises on, implements and facilitates student programs. Assists in policy and procedure development. Ensures adherence to regulations, guidelines, and curriculum standards. Coordinates and distributes support materials to promote enrichment programs. Assists with implementing training and development programs.

The Night Operations Manager (Evening/Weekends) is an essential member of the Student Unions team, responsible for overseeing all evening and weekend operations. This role ensures the safety, security, and smooth functioning of events and activities during these hours.
