Job Description

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our NorLab Production Technician position. NorLab Production Technicians are responsible for the filling of all specialty gases, transfilling of product into disposable cylinders and preparing all products for shipment. Shipping of hazardous goods. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Prepare high pressure and disposable cylinders for fillingFill specialty gas pures to maintain inventories and meet customer commitmentsFill specialty gas mixtures for customers and NorLab transfill masters to meet inventory requirements and customer commitmentsFill disposable cylinders to meet inventory requirements and meet customer commitmentsPerform necessary equipment calibrations or maintenance as scheduledAccurately record information on all logs and recordsShip product using appropriate carriersAdhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rulesPerform other tasks as assigned or necessary

QualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalentOne year of college chemistry and/or related work experience is desirableAbility to accurately enter data into computer and acquire a working knowledge of any software applications necessary to the positionAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeKnowledge of hazardous materials shipping requirementsAbility to work with minimal supervisionGood problem solving skillsPrevious knowledge of cylinders and gases
