Eaton Corporation is currently seeking a North American Category Manager - Magwire and Directed Buy Cu/Al to join our team. This role can be based out of Beachwood OH, Southfield MI, or Moon Township PA.
Our supply chain management team creates bottom-line impact by driving cost management and operational benefits. Within our supply chain, the N. American Category Manage - Magwire and Directed Buy Cu/Al supports the development and deployment of the regional category strategy of Aluminum and Copper. In this role, you will drive towards optimal conditions (cost, commercial, quality, delivery, innovation, VAVE) for the category by leveraging synergies across businesses and driving the “One Supply Chain” philosophy. You will be responsible for managing $75M in regional category spend across all businesses in N. America.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you’ll do: You will develop strategy and connected strategic initiatives to facilitate cross-business synergies across a rationalized set of regional preferred supplier partners. You will negotiate and manage key strategic supplier contracts and relationships across multiple categories (NFM - Aluminum and NFM - Copper).You will review, approve, monitor and report compliance to category agreements and strategies based upon Eaton SCM strategic directions.You will develop innovative business solutions, forecast commodity projections and provide mitigation actions as applicable to ensure key metrics for the procurement function (Cost Out, DPO, Diversity Spend, etc.) are achieved.You will develop and present regional communication plans and share new planning tools, methods, technical analysis, standards and procurement opportunities with senior management that are aligned with SCM/Eaton strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives.You will benchmark procurement processes to develop and implement best practices throughout Eaton and Supply Chain Management.You will ensure compliance of suppliers with Eaton SCM Sustainability Programs, and SCM policies. You will plan, prepare and execute annual profit planning for the owned spend, and support execution with the business cross functional teams.You will lead Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers You will support flex in the Category scope following acquisitions or divestiture in the businessQualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.Minimum of 4 years' professional experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain or Operations2+ years of experience as a strategic buyer or category managerMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Clear understanding of the sourcing process, category management, cost analysis and industry best purchasing practices. Background in copper and/or aluminum extruded wire, bar, coil, foil and sheet for electrical applications is preferred.Soft skills:
Leadership, Collaboration, Strategic Thinking, Negotiation, Analytical, Data/Contract Management, Communication, Presentation and Influencing Skills.Up to 25% travel may be required.
