North America Risk Capital Market Strategy Leader

What the day will look like As a regional leader who owns the marketing communications strategies of one of our primary areas of business, you will have the breadth to direct a team that develops and distributes content for internal and external consumption. Partnership with business/solution line leadership to support regional and local marketing strategies includes collaboration with the Head of Global Marketing, Risk Capital Marketing Strategy Leader, industry and market specialists and your peers in other regions. We know that our global strategies succeed when we understand and support regional needs, which is where you will influence the tailoring of content to suit the local markets and demands of the region within this key business area. As you ensure global perspectives and content adhere to parameters established by Brand, additional direct responsibilities include: + Collaborate with industry-specific writers and supporting content curation and specificity with industry SMEs. + Draft and distribute content for local tailoring to regions for customization and campaign activation. + Set and monitor critical metrics for solution line-specific product marketing as well as prioritization for global and regional events. + Review proposals from regional solution line strategy leads for new and enhanced collateral. This role also influences the digital activation of content by the digital marketing team and external communications and media relations pertaining to solution line marketing. How this opportunity is different Our Risk Capital business spans many facets of reinsurance, claims, brokerage, risk management, retention and analytics and more . As the marketing strategy lead, you will partner with colleagues to deliver our regional solution-line content to the market and competitively position our business on a regional scale. Skills and experience that will lead to success As one of the subject matter authorities in this business area, a track record in data-driven, critical thinking and marketing strategies with proven experience in project management, problem solving, and operationalizing strategies in a consulting or marketing strategy role are important. Communicating results and outlining the path forward is crucial, as are excellent presentation skills, creative thinking and contribution to fresh ideas and strategies. This all requires a genuine collaborative drive, whether developing a team or working with internal or external partners, to influence others and build followership. Additional skills include: + Proficiency in various strategic fields, including brand positioning, influencer and social campaigns, communications planning and customer experience. + Deep understanding and consistent history of handling acquisition campaigns, strategies, and benchmarks. + Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to analyze large data sets, identify trends and develop insights, and provide evidence-based recommendations. + Reporting and experience of utilizing CRM platforms, data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker) and experience crafting C-suite-level dashboards. + Experience leading content teams Education Degree in marketing and/or communications or equivalent work experience. Pay Transparency Laws The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $120,000 - $200,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
