Who will you be working with?
As a member of the North America Transit Engineering team, you will be working closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization, including product management, operations, and other engineering teams. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining the engineering processes and infrastructure that support our transit solutions in the North American market, while being compliant with the global engineering processes.

As a member of the North America Transit Engineering group, you will be responsible for leading the engineering team in delivering high-quality, reliable, and innovative transit solutions to our customers. This includes overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of our transit software and hardware products, as well as collaborating with other teams to ensure seamless integration and a positive customer experience.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, preferably in the transit or transportation industryProven track record of successfully managing and developing engineering teamsExpertise in system integration, and project managementStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsFamiliarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in the transit sectorWhat will your typical day look like?
Set a high standard for EHS and displaying leadership by encouraging the involvement of all staff in achieving a safe and healthy workplaceOversee the day-to-day operations of the North America Transit Engineering team, ensuring that projects are on track and deliverables are metCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address engineering challenges, develop innovative solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.Collaborate with global services engineering organization to enhance the required engineering capabilities to implement the North American service growth strategy.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, helping them to grow and develop their skillsParticipate in strategic planning and decision-making processes, contributing to the overall direction of the North America Transit businessServe as the Wabtec “technical face” to the customer, representing all of our rail product lines and conduct regular meetings with engineering leaders of main operations, promoting innovation workshop and ensuring full alignment around the performance of our install baseRepresent the engineering team in meetings with senior leadership, customers, and other stakeholdersContinuously monitor industry trends and best practices, and implement improvements to our engineering processes and infrastructureLead engineering footprint and transformation projects for North America Transit EngineeringWhat about the physical demands of the job?

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between
$161,300.00-$229,800.00The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com. Other benefit offerings for this role may include an annual bonus and equity offerings, if eligible.
