In this position…
The VEV Organization is looking to fill the Wind Tunnels (WTs) Operations Supervisor position. The WTs are responsible for full vehicle testing of various critical systems, including powertrain, climate control, aerodynamic, thermal management, and acoustic performance for all North American programs, as well as several global programs. The successful candidate will directly manage the operations team for all North American Wind Tunnels, overseeing test operations, purchasing, safety, instrumentation, and test scheduling. Additionally, they will act as the liaison with purchasing service companies for personnel working at the site. The test sites for the WTs organization are in Dearborn and Allen Park, MI. Daily responsibilities will include supporting test operations activities, maintaining and sustaining facilities, and ensuring the safety and security of all personnel.

BS in Engineering Discipline required, MS a plus10+ years’ progressive responsibilities in laboratory testing environmentDemonstrated experience/application of team leadershipApplied understanding of data acquisition, control systems fundamentals, FMEA, G8D, and process control methodologyWorking knowledge of laboratory testing procedure execution.Project management experience delivering effective sustainment strategiesExperienced in document preparation/writing with ability to compose clear content suitable for all audiencesLeadership Skills
