Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center - Part Time Conversion Crew

NORTON HEALTHCARE SPORTS & LEARNING CENTER operated by ASM Global is a state-of-the-art indoor/outdoor track and field facility on 24-acres in the Russell neighborhood of Louisville, KY. It will house seating for 4,000 and will feature entertainment space with a bowling alley and an interactive rock-climbing wall, community green space and outdoor event space. The complex will host a variety of sporting events by organizations such as USA Track and Field, the NCAA, and local and regional public and private school and local track teams. In addition to sporting events, this venue will also offer community and entertainment events, all while providing a clean and safe environment and guaranteeing the ultimate guest experience and satisfaction.

Position Summary:
The Part-Time Conversion Crew employee ensures set-ups and tear downs for events are completed according to specifications in a safe and timely manner.
Salary: $14/hour


Essential Functions:

Understands and adheres to company policies and procedures in order to safely perform set-up and tear down duties for all events to include (but not limited to) track and field events (indoor and outdoor), concerts, and community events.Moves about the facility in order to set up and arrange objects in various areas of the building (Meeting spaces, indoor track, mezzanine, outdoor track, grounds and all other areas of the building).Lifts and moves track and field equipment in order to accurately set floor for sporting events.Lifts and moves furniture, retractable seating, equipment and other various objects in order to set up and tear down the facility according to the request of each evenOperates machinery and equipment in order to complete all tasks safely, while following proper procedures (i.e. forklift, power tools).Communicates effectively with supervisors and manager in order to respond to building needs safely, quickly, and efficiently to meet all deadlines.Performs daily operations and general building maintenance during non-event days.Identifies any potential safety hazards by inspecting equipment, tools, and supplies to ensure all equipment is in proper working condition.


Required Qualifications:

Conversion Crew employees must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.A minimum of 0-1 years of related work experienceMust be able to work overnight hours, weekends and holidaysAbility to lift and carry up to 75 lbs on a frequent basisAbility to stand on feet for up to 8 hours at a time, and to kneel, stoop, and reach above head in conjunction with Requisition Conversion tasksAbility to safely and efficiently operate hand and power toolsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to work safely and complete tasks in a timely mannerMust be able to work under pressure, in time sensitive operations, in a fast paced environmentMust be able to work in a warm or cold environmentMust be able to work in a moderate to very loud noise environmentRequires work with others in a group or teamRequires wearing common protective or safety equipmentMust be able to comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
