Overview Responsibilities: OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center seeks a Trauma/Burn/Emergency General Surgery nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join a robust and growing practice. Saint Anthony Medical Center is a 38 Bed Intensive Care Unit. In addition, there is a growing ambulatory trauma/burn/emergency general surgery ambulatory clinic 40 hours a week working at our ambulatory clinic and in the acute care setting along with the providers. Schedule coverage is 7 days/evenings a week including weekends and holidays EEO Employer M/F/Vet/Disabled Practice includes inpatient coverage along with staffing the ambulatory clinic. Work in collaboration with experienced fellowship trained Trauma, Burn and Emergency General Surgeons and other members of the interdisciplinary team to evaluate and treat acute illnesses and injury. Opportunity to work as a first assist in the operating room Responsible for conducting and documenting comprehensive assessments of patients and performing necessary invasive procedures in accordance with established protocols, policies and evidenced based practice. Develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans. Monitor and adjust treatments based on patient progress and lab results. Provides expert education, consultation, and patient advocacy. Provides training and education to residents, medical students, advance practice students and nurses. Required committee involvement for quality measures and program advancement.
