Job Description:Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.

Education Qualifications:

NP:  Master's degree in nursing

PA:  Bachelor’s degree in a health/science-related field

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:Hospitalist APP (.1 FTE)

PRACTICE SPECIFICS

Seeking Casual APP to be a part of the hospitalist team at Essentia Health Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN, covering 1 weekend/month.Strong, collegial teamPatient load per NP will average 8-10No procedures required8 hour shifts, covering one weekend a monthFlexible scheduling

TRAINING:

Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.The ideal candidate will have an adult geriatric acute care certification and/or strong clinical background in an acute care setting.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
