Job Overview

TE Connectivity's New Product Development Supply Chain Analysts oversee timely and cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning, and quality assurance of materials required for new product development and introduction. This role ensures material availability in alignment with NPD and NPI project timelines while maintaining inventory at optimal levels.

 

The NPD Supply Chain Analyst coordinates and integrates the flow of materials and information among suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, and distribution teams, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability. They focus on minimizing risks, managing lead times, and supporting design changes while maintaining cost and quality targets.

 

Emphasizing continuous improvement, this role streamlines material movement through prototype, pilot, and production phases, ensuring a seamless transition to full-scale manufacturing. Additionally, they establish and monitor key performance metrics and benchmarks to track supply chain performance against project goals and drive ongoing optimization.

Responsibilities

 

As a New Product Development Supply Chain Analyst your responsibilities would include but are not limited to the following: Collaborate with R&D, engineering, marketing, and operations to define material requirements for new product launches. Develop supply chain strategies to support NPI timelines and ensure readiness for mass production. Align demand forecasts with production schedules and procurement plans. Procure components, raw materials, and prototypes from suppliers. Work with suppliers to ensure lead times align with project schedules. Monitor and manage inventory levels for NPI materials, ensuring minimal excess and obsolescence. Implement material planning strategies to support prototype, pilot, and full-scale production runs. Work closely with logistics to ensure timely delivery of critical components. Act as the bridge between procurement, engineering, and production teams. Participate in project meetings to provide updates on material status and procurement challenges. Support design changes by ensuring material availability and evaluating impact on supply chain. Identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans. Work proactively with suppliers to resolve issues related to quality, availability

 

 

 

What your background should look like: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university in Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, or other related disciplines. 8 or more years in related field  Proficient with MS-Office and SAP products. Experience with Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Supply Chain fields Practical Problem Solving, 8D, 5 why, Fishbone experience Certified Supply Chain Professional (APICS) is a plus Willingness to travel and interact proactively with TE manufacturing site personnel and suppliers (up to 25%) Energetic individual with the ability to learn quickly and work in a self-directed work environment with minimal supervision Ability to take ownership of actions and lead to closure. Strong project management skills. A clear communicator who can speak and present confidently to a diverse audience, including senior management Technically skilled  to interface with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Materials, Supply / Demand Management as well as all levels within the Supplier’s organization Fluent in English; reading, writing, and speaking English language

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $108,400 - $162,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
