Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable NPI Analyst Buyer to join our Sourcing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the successful launch of new products by managing the procurement of materials and ensuring timely delivery. As an NPI Analyst Buyer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Marketing, and Supply Chain, to take new products from concept to production. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to contribute to our company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and evaluate new product development requirements, including material and supplier specifications, to determine sourcing strategy and ensure timely delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost-effective sourcing strategies and purchase agreements for new products
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure a reliable supply chain and competitive pricing for new products
• Identify potential risks and challenges related to procurement and develop contingency plans to mitigate them
• Negotiate and secure contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company
• Conduct market research and identify new suppliers and technologies that could potentially enhance our products and operations
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators for new product launches, including material costs, delivery times, and supplier performance
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements in all purchasing activities
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide suggestions for process enhancements to drive efficiency and cost savings
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
• 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or product development environment
• Strong understanding of procurement concepts, including cost analysis and supplier management
• Knowledge of new product development processes and project management principles
• Proven negotiation and contract management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with procurement software or ERP systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with suppliers
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel as needed (up to 25%) to meet with suppliers and attend industry events.
