NPI Manufacturing Engineer
Job Title: NPI Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

This role drives New Product Introduction from the start of a new program through successful PPAP and Safe Launch Containment and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). You will apply engineering judgment and experience to collect past failure modes from lessons learned and new modes related to innovations in design and processing and apply them to new products and processes to ensure they are safe and effective at scale. You will work collaboratively with Design, Operations, Program Managers, Product Managers, Supply Chain, and other internal/external staff to ensure regular Gate Reviews are conducted, detailed to drive launch excellence and customer satisfaction.

ResponsibilitiesParticipate in project Kick-off Meetings and support project team development for internal requirements.Verify layout data, customer specific requirements, and Risk Priority Number (RPN) reductions.Analyze SPC data and align product design to scale production with exceptional quality for critical equipment.Document the results for specific program characteristics and ensure that internal and external requirements are met, including deviations.Develop Control Plans, Capability Studies, Part layouts, Inspection Instructions, and other necessary documentation.Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to develop fixtures and job aids prior to production launch.Develop new and unique products and processes to solve critical challenges.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in preferably an Engineering focus.3+ years as a Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environmentExperience in manufacturing process, new product development, and new product introduction.Knowledge of Manufacturing engineering, PPAP, SPC, Gage R&R, FMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, Capability Studies, Engineering Change Orders, and Part Layout.Experience and knowledge of control plans, process capabilities, and ECNsExperience and knowledge of customer specifications, quality sign-offs, and PPAPExhibit knowledge of APQP Engineering for new launches


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00
